WELCOME to the NITTANY SUCCESS CENTER (NSC)
at Penn State York
Spring 2024
The Nittany Success Center is located in the Pullo Building
Suite 336, top floor of the library
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-4:00
We provide Peer Tutoring, Study Groups, Student Disability Resources and Academic Coaching.
- Our tutoring schedule will open for appointments beginning Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
- Students are eligible for 2 hours of tutoring per week for each course on their schedule. Students can also attend 2 hours per week with a study group. If a student would like to request more than 2 hours/week of tutoring for a course, please contact NSC Director Joel Gugino, jcg140@psu.edu, to make arrangements.
- Please contact us if you need tutoring for a course not listed, we'll try to locate a tutor for you.
- If you must cancel a tutor appointment, kindly give a minimum of two hours notice to avoid being counted as a NO SHOW. After 3 NO SHOWS your login credentials will be suspended.

Tutoring
- Appointments are scheduled through this system by using the pull-down menu to select courses, then click on available appointments displayed as white boxes.
- Tutoring sessions meet in the Study Rooms on the top floor of the library.
- For first time visits, arrive a few minutes early for your appointment and wait in the computer lab or blue chair area in the NSC. Your tutor will come out and introduce themselves and lead you to the Study Room to be used for the session.
- It's a good idea to bring notebooks and/or textbooks to the tutoring session.
